Катедра Информатика във Факултета по приложна математика и информатика е създадена от проф.Михаил Михайлов, който е бил неин пръв ръководител. След известно прекъсване катедрата е преучредена в края на 2016г. с ръководител доц. Анна Розева. Катедра "Информатика" предлага обучение в следните специалности: ОКС "бакалавър" и "магистър"  - "Информатика и софтуерни науки" на български и английски език  и ОКС "магистър" - Анализ на големи масиви от данни".

 

Катедра "Информатика" е член на АКАДЕМИЧНАТА ОБЩНОСТ ПО КОМПЮТЪРНИ СИСТЕМИ И ИНФОРМАЦИОННИ ТЕХНОЛОГИИ (АОКСИТ),  http://www.aoksit-bg.eu

 

По Национална научна програма „Културноисторическо наследство, национална памет и обществено развитие“ Факултет Приложна Математика и Информатика, ТУ-София изгражда Виртуален площад за интерактивно представяне.

Университетът ни е партньор в проект по Националната научна програма „Културноисторическо наследство, национална памет и обществено развитие“ (КИННПОР), финансирана от Министерството на образованието и науката (МОН).

Основната цел на програмата е създаване на модерна и устойчива научноизследователска инфраструктура с качествено съдържание и широкодостъпни онлайн платформи. Целта е осъществяване на връзката между научните изследвания в областта на хуманитаристиката и други социални сфери – бизнес, образование, неправителствени организации и др.
