The Technical University of Sofia opens its new academic year

The Technical University of Sofia opens its new academic year today. The ceremony will take place between Academic Building 1 (Rectorate) and Academic Building 2. Representatives of state institutions and universities, members of the Board of Trustees of TU-Sofia, and other official guests are invited to attend. Following the opening, meetings between first-year students and faculty deans will be held. Classes for the Bachelor degree program begin on the same day, while those for the Master degree program start on 12.10.2020. The largest and leading technical university in Bulgaria celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2020. In the university's fourteen faculties, training is offered in 32 bachelor's specializations for the 2020/2021 academic year, with over 1600 first-year students admitted. Enrollment continues for over 65 master's programs. Currently, classes at TU-Sofia are planned to be held in person, strictly adhering to requirements for wearing personal protective equipment, maintaining physical distance, and conducting periodic disinfection.
