Address by the Rector of the Technical University – Sofia, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ivan Králov, to the newly admitted students

Dear newly admitted students at the Technical University – Sofia,

We are delighted to welcome you with your choice. The Technical University – Sofia is the oldest and leading technical higher education institution in the country and the region. Generations of Bulgarians have contributed to engineering sciences and achievements here. You are the continuators of their work and opportunities, the future bearers of new technological thought.

This year, all specialties at the Technical University – Sofia have their enrollments, interest in the offered modern professions is extremely high, and to my joy, we have an over-enrollment for the 2023/24 admission.

The large number of candidates for more than 35 specialties exceeds the admission quota. All with high success will be ranked and admitted to our university. This is another bright proof of the assessment that Bulgarian society gives to the level of education and the prestigious career prospects of graduates of the Technical University – Sofia. Thank you once again for becoming part of the large engineering family of a university with traditions, achievements, and a future.

TU - Sofia is among the leading members of the European Technological University. It will become a confederal university by 2030. Part of you will study at least two semesters at a partner higher education institution, using top infrastructure and research capacity.
