Diplomas were awarded to 35 graduates of the Technical College in Kazanlak at an official ceremony, the press center of the local administration reported. Guests included the Rector of the Technical University Ivan Králov, the first director of the college and chairman of the General Assembly of the educational institution Prof. Ivaïlo Ganev, the mayor of the municipality Galina Stoyanova, as well as executive directors and representatives of the major engineering enterprises in the city.
Králov emphasized that the graduates are now part of the nation's technical elite. He thanked the municipal leadership and noted that something is being done in Kazanlak that has no analogue in the country, and perhaps even in Europe. A complete symbiosis between business and education has been achieved, the rector pointed out.
"Be proud of what you have achieved, because you managed to combine work and family commitments with the high demands of our teachers," Prof. Ganev addressed the graduates.
Galina Stoyanova wished health above all to all graduates and their families. She called on business representatives to give graduates the opportunity to grow into leadership positions, so that the diplomas would be translated into professional achievements. She recalled that she agreed to have a college within the municipality on the condition that no compromises would be made in education. The mayor emphasized that through the college, Kazanlak is consolidating its position as an emblem of engineering.
As BTA reported, a project for the modernization and renewal of the material base of the Technical College is part of the Concept for Integrated Territorial Investments "Sustainable Socio-Economic Growth, Improved Investment Environment and Preserved Regional Identity," in which the Municipality of Kazanlak is the leading partner.
