The tenth anniversary edition of the emblematic TUES hackathon – Hack TUES X will
take place from March 13th to 16th, 2024 at Sofia Tech Park.
Students from the Technological School "Electronic Systems" at the Technical
University - Sofia, under the mentorship of the TUES Alumni Association,
are organizing the event again in a face-to-face format.
Last year, Hack TUES became the only Bulgarian educational
practice to find a place among the innovative and promising practices of
UNESCO for "Technical and Vocational Education and Training".
This year, the hackathon will start with an opening ceremony in the "John" hall.
Atanasov", which will be broadcast live on the school's YouTube channel. By
during the ceremony, a discussion will take place, where it will be revealed
the main topic and its subtopics for this year's edition. In the discussion, will
leading specialists in the field of programming and information
technologies.
The project development days are March 14th and 15th, with the competition to
ended on 16.03.2024 with an award ceremony. It is expected to include
70 teams, composed of students from various grades, who will be
assigned to teams with individual mentors - graduates of TU-Sofia and/or members
of the team of leading IT companies. This year, for the first time, 20 teams
composed of graduates of TU-Sofia are also expected. The students and
graduating participants compete in different categories.
The competition format includes semifinals and a final, where a selected jury of
specialists will evaluate the projects of our graduates and select
the winners. The award ceremony will take place on the last day, March 16, again in
Hall "John Atanasov".
