From modern engineering design to mechatronics and mechanical engineering, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering combines tradition, innovation, and modern technologies, preparing the industry experts of the future.
Faculty of Machine Engineering was founded in 1951 and is one of the successors of the Machine Engineering Faculty at the former State Polytechnic.
The faculty has five departments:
- Automation of Discrete Manufacturing;
- Engineering Design;
- Precision Mechanical and Device Engineering;
- Basic Methods and Techniques of Engineering Design;
- Machine Elements and Non-Metal Constructions.
Undergraduates can select from four majors:
- Mechanical Engineering;
- Mechatronics;
- Engineering Design;
- Logistics Engineering.
Students have access to state-of-the-art labs and research facilities, such as equipment for measuring geometrical and mechanical parameters, as well as optical, precise mechanical and micromechanical equipment. The young specialists train using automatic production lines, computer labs for automated design, an integrated production complex system, an engineering logistics and technology lab, as well as design engineering labs.
