Participate in the largest hackathon of NASA Space Apps Challenge

On April 29-30, 2017 Bulgaria will participate for the fifth consecutive year in the NASA International Space Apps Challenge.

The goal of the competition is to provide an opportunity and encourage innovative thinkers, talented and ambitious people of all ages to compete and contribute to solving global problems. Space Apps Challenge will take place simultaneously in over 100 different cities around the world. This year in Bulgaria, the competition will be held in Sofia, Burgas, Plovdiv and for the first time in Ruse. Bulgaria will compete in the global finals with 12 projects - the top three solutions from each location.

The competition is held with the support of partner organizations and sponsors. Technical University – Sofia is a special partner of the competition.

Teams of all ages can participate in the competition; there are no restrictions on team members.  
This year, the focus of the challenges will be directed towards the Earth category.

Participants will have the task, within 48 hours on April 29-30, to develop and present a project at a conceptual level, prototype level, or a completed solution. Solutions can be: mobile applications, software, hardware, data visualization, a problem-solving platform, and other ideas, contributing to space exploration and helping to improve life on Earth.
