The Year of Mathematics: Technical University - Sofia with impressive success at NSOM 2026

Mathematics unites talent, knowledge, and the spirit of winners!

The Technical University - Sofia triumphs in the 51st edition of the National Student Olympiad in Mathematics – NSOM 2026 with gold – first places, seven medals, and three cups!

TU - Sofia hosted the largest edition of the Olympiad to date, organized by the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Informatics. Over 150 contestants from 17 universities and more than 200 guests participated in the competition.

The record interest in the Olympiad is a testament to the authority, academic spirit, and high level of education at the Technical University - Sofia.

We are proud of our students – the young mathematicians who prove that success belongs to the brave, the persistent, and the inspired!

We thank all participants, lecturers, partners, and friends of science who turned NSOM 2026 into a true celebration of knowledge, ambition, and recognition of young talents!

2026 is the Year of Mathematics at TU - Sofia, and the inspiration continues!

From June 6 to 12, 2026, the Technical University - Sofia will also host the international conference 'Applications of Mathematics in Engineering and Economics'.
