The doctoral program in “Railway Transport Management and Operations” is designed to provide students with knowledge in the field of railway transport organization and management. The topics of the dissertations focus on modeling and optimizing the transport process, as well as on improving the quality and efficiency of transport technology. Special emphasis is placed on courses that build upon the knowledge acquired in the Master’s degree program.

System analysis, development, and optimization of rail transport schemes;
Methodology for optimizing train schedules and railway infrastructure parameters;
Methodology for coordinating rolling stock at hub stations and optimizing its use to carry out transport operations;
Modeling and optimization of operational processes within the railway network as part of the European railway system;
Development of investment decisions for the organization of transport services;
Planning and implementation of simulation models, data processing, and analysis.

Other knowledge and skills related to research work include:

Excellent familiarity with the literature on current achievements and trends in the management and operation of rail transport;
Ability to identify and precisely define unresolved scientific and practical problems;
