QS World University Rankings 2027, which is an important step toward increasing the University’s international visibility and recognition. The ranking system is made by the authoritative British higher education analyst and a for-profit services provider Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). The 2027 edition, published in June 2026, covers 1,504 universities worldwide and evaluates qualities such as academic reputation, alumni success, citation impact, and international integration.
The areas where TU-Sofia stands out are in the following categories: International Research Network, Faculty-Student Ratio, Sustainability, and Employment Outcomes. The highest score is for International Research Network, which demonstrates the opportunity for international scientific collaboration and participation in partner research networks. Good performance is also recorded for the Faculty-Student Ratio, which shows the ratio of faculty members to students. The recognition within Sustainability and Employment Outcomes demonstrate the link between education, alumni’s success rate, and the University’s societal impact.
