The space between Building 1 and Building 2 of Technical University of Sofia became a stage for powerful sound waves and innovative engineering solutions during the fifth edition of Automotive Audio-Visual Systems Days 2026. The major two-day event held on September 26 and 27, and organized by the Faculty of Telecommunications, was opened by the Faculty Dean – Prof. Agata Manolova, and the lead organizer – Senior Assistant Professor Tsvetan Valkovski. Twenty-five participants competed in the “Front Battle” category, including two students from the Faculty of Telecommunications: Aleksandar Videnov and Atanas Radichev.
A record number of 49 participants took part in the “Propper Droppers” category. Among them were students from various faculties of Technical University of Sofia (Faculty of Telecommunications, Faculty of Electronic Engineering and Technologies, Faculty of Computer Systems and Technologies), as well as participants from neighboring Romania.
Using professional Term-Lab measuring equipment, the judges recorded unprecedented results. A total of 15 world records were set, thank to the exceptional engineering expertise of the participants: Bogdan Chisalita (Romania), Ivan Stefanov, Aleksandar Besalev, Veselin Kundurov, Blagoy Zidarov, Borislav Parunev, Matey Uvaliev, Galin Georgiev, Aleksandar Yozov, Mariyan Piskuliski, Sevdalin Valkov, Petar Tsenkin, Kiril Lalov, Dimitar Cholakov. In addition to celebrating technological achievements, the event united organizers, partners, and guests around a worthy cause.
