Since 2019, TU-Sofia has launched an initiative to encourage students to participate in research activities and develop innovative projects, called: Projects "Student Innovation Hub of TU-Sofia". Every regularly enrolled student at TU-Sofia can apply electronically with a project in the "Student Innovation Hub of TU-Sofia" competition for scientific, methodological, and technical support for their innovative development: conceptual model, design, technology, software solution, etc. After a positive evaluation of the project by the relevant commission, the student must choose a mentor – a researcher with a main employment contract with TU-Sofia, who becomes the head of the contract. Other students and up to two additional researchers (consultants) can also participate in the contract team. Intellectual property rights over the development are protected on behalf of TU-Sofia, and the inventor(s) is/are the student(s). With the explicit consent of the student, researcher(s) from the contract team can also be included as inventors.
The deadline for submitting projects is 22.02.2019.
